A highly skilled Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) specialist with over a decade of experience driving gender-responsive programming in Malawi.
With a background in Sociology from the University of Malawi, Abigail is dedicated to using data and evidence to shape inclusive, impactful development initiatives in health, governance, and social development. She has worked across various sectors, leading research and MEL processes that prioritise gender equity.
Abby worked with ICE on the British Council’s ICR Facility supporting the team to conduct a Gender Equality Audit in Malawi, where
she led data collection and analysis, providing insights that shaped the organisation’s gender integration strategy. Her work involved in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and document reviews to ensure evidence-based recommendations for institutional and programmatic change.
With previous roles as Research Manager at Kadale Consultants and Programme Officer for DanChurchAid’s HIV and SRHR program, Abigail has developed data systems, strengthened partner capacities, and championed gender-sensitive monitoring and evaluation practices. She combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of local contexts to drive learning, accountability, and sustainable development outcomes.
