Yolanda K Gibb
Yolanda K Gibb is an internationally recognised expert in economic development, specialising in education, business environment reform, institutional capacity building, entrepreneurship, SME internationalisation, women’s economic empowerment and financial inclusion.
With extensive experience across the private, public, and academic sectors, Yolanda has made a significant impact on global development initiatives. Her work in education has included teaching entrepreneurship, innovation and international business at universities in the UK, Spain and Switzerland, while supporting students as an Enterprise Fellow at Durham University. She is an advocate for enterprise education and the incorporation of enterprising thinking and creativity in the school curriculum.
Yolanda is passionate about developing a conducive small business ecosystem. As an Associate of ICE she has worked internationally on gender-responsive policy assessments for the EBRD and the ICR Facility. She also works with financial and non-financial institutions to enhance their ability to serve the Micro-Small Medium Enterprise (MSME) community worldwide to define strategies, develop their product and service portfolios and build their capacity to reach and deliver to target MSME, including internationalising SME, growth businesses, startups, micro and informal enterprises.
Yolanda is equally at home in the private sector, academia and international organisations. She combines a practical, hands-on approach with a strong analytical focus based on qualitative and quantitative research. With over 25 years of international experience in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, Yolanda is dedicated to fostering sustainable economic opportunities worldwide.
